Terms & Refund Policy

These terms apply when you use onlineacademic.help or work with Online Academic Help (“we”, “us”). By booking a consultation or a project, you agree to them.

1. What we provide

We offer one-to-one academic mentoring for doctoral students: explaining concepts, feedback on drafts you write, research-design and methodology guidance, statistical analysis walkthroughs (SPSS, Stata, Excel), IRB guidance, language editing and formatting, and mock defenses.

We are mentors, not ghostwriters. We do not write work for you to submit as your own, complete graded assignments or exams, or impersonate you. See our Academic Integrity Policy.

2. Free consultation and quotes

• The first consultation is free and places you under no obligation.
• Before any paid work begins, you receive a written scope and quote listing the milestones, deliverables, timeline and price for each milestone.
• Work starts only after you accept the scope in writing (email or WhatsApp is fine).

3. Payment

• You pay per milestone — never the full project upfront.
• Each milestone is paid before work on it begins, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Prices are in the currency stated on your quote and exclude any fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

4. Revisions

Each milestone includes multiple rounds of feedback and revision at no extra cost, within the agreed scope. New requirements outside that scope (for example, a new chapter or a change of research design) are quoted separately before any work is done.

5. Changing mentors

If the fit isn’t right, you can ask to switch mentors at any time at no cost. We will hand over your project notes so you don’t lose progress.

6. Refund policy

• Before work starts: if you cancel a paid milestone before your mentor begins work on it, you receive a full refund for that milestone.
• Milestone not delivered as scoped: if we do not deliver a milestone as described in your written scope, and cannot put it right within a reasonable time after you tell us, you receive a full or partial refund for that milestone, based on what was delivered.
• Delivered milestones: milestones delivered as scoped are not refundable, because the mentoring time has already been provided. Revisions within scope remain available.
• How to request: email ksingh@onlineacademic.help within 14 days of the milestone’s delivery date (or its scheduled date, if it was not delivered), explaining what was missed. We reply within 2 business days and, if a refund is due, issue it to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

7. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for following your university’s and program’s rules, including any rules on outside editing or tutoring.
• You remain the author of your work and responsible for what you submit.
• You agree to give accurate information and to share only material you have the right to share.

8. No guaranteed outcomes

We work hard to help you progress, but we cannot guarantee grades, committee or IRB approval, publication, or completion of your degree. These depend on your work, your institution and factors outside our control.

9. Confidentiality and ownership

Your drafts, data and research remain yours. We keep them confidential as described in our Privacy Policy, and will sign an NDA on request. Feedback and materials we prepare for you are yours to use for your studies.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid for the milestone the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Ending the engagement

You may stop at any time; refunds follow section 6. We may decline or end an engagement if a request would breach academic integrity, or in cases of abuse or non-payment, and will refund any milestone not yet started.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try to resolve concerns informally first — please contact us before taking any other step.

13. Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a scope you have already accepted.
